FAQ - Eyelash Extensions

Commonly asked questions:

HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
3 to 4 weeks with proper lash care. For quality assurance, please book your fills every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain the full look.
WHEN SHOULD I COME FOR A FILL?
Between 2 to 3 weeks. You must have at least 50% lashes for it to be considered a fill. Anything less than that will be considered a new set.
ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGING?
Lash extensions should not damage your natural lashes. Our lash techs have undergone proper training to provide you with the highest quality application. Keep in mind that your lashes have a natural growth cycle. You may lose anywhere between 2 to 5 lashes per day, so it is completely normal to have lashes shed daily.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP?
Yes you can, but minimal makeup is always best with lash extensions. Make sure your makeup is oil free and non-waterproof. Mascara is not recommended as it can dissolve the bonding agent and have your lashes fall off faster.
CAN I SWIM OR EXERCISE WITH EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Yes you can! The glue we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim and exercise normally. We just recommend avoiding water the first 24 hours after your appointment.
CAN I GET EYELASH EXTENSIONS WHILE PREGNANT?
Yes you can! Our technique in applying the eyelash extension makes sure the adhesive itself does not apply directly onto the skin. We also use extra cushion for your ease of comfort as we understand you may be uncomfortable lying for long periods of time.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A SERVICE?
Please come in with no eye makeup. Removing your eye makeup will cut into your appointment time so we highly recommend coming in with no makeup. If you wear contacts, you may change into glasses prior to coming in. Lastly, avoid caffeine before your appointment!
WHAT KIND OF GLUE DO WE USE?
We use a variety of different glues. Each artist has a personal preference catered to each individual. For more information on which types and their ingredients, please email us at info@bijoubeauteboutique.com.
